Installation Method Of Acrylic Signage
Apr 02, 2024
Acrylic signage is a widely used sign product with advantages such as strong texture, high transparency, smooth surface, and rich colors. It can be applied in various places and fields, such as indoor and outdoor signage, commercial signage, industrial signage, public signage, decorative art, and so on.
It has characteristics that ordinary signs do not possess:
1) Strong visual impact. Acrylic materials themselves are smooth, transparent, and aesthetically pleasing, and can be processed into various forms with strong visual impact;
2) Weathering resistance: The surface of the panel is covered with a high concentration of ultraviolet absorbent, ensuring long-term weather resistance and no fading;
3) Durability: Provides excellent protection for built-in light sources and extends their lifespan
4) Impact resistance: The impact resistance index of acrylic signage is 200 times that of glass, with almost no risk of breakage
Translucency: up to 92%
To ensure the installation quality and effectiveness of the signs, the correct installation method is crucial.
Installation Method Of Advertising Nails
If acrylic signs want to be installed with advertising nails, the first step is to reserve holes for the advertising nails during the design process, so that they can be installed on the wall.
Press the acrylic sign onto the wall, measure the height and left and right spacing, and then use a marker to mark the four hole positions (acrylic sign usually has four holes at the corners, but if it is a small department sign, two holes can also be made). Then, put the acrylic sign aside first.
2) Use an electric drill to drill 4 holes in the marked areas and place an expansion sleeve.
3) Unscrew the advertising nail, insert the screw into the sleeve of the advertising nail, and then use a screwdriver to insert the sleeve into the newly installed expansion sleeve (it is recommended to use an electric screwdriver for easier operation).
4) After installing all four sleeves, align the acrylic plate with the screw hole on the sleeve and tighten the bolts of the advertising nails one by one.

Lifting
The lifting of acrylic signs is also relatively simple, but the installation position of the lifting rope is not easy to find. It depends on whether the top is a suspended ceiling or concrete, which requires drilling holes, installing expansion sleeves, and then lifting the acrylic sign. There are dedicated ropes or chains for lifting.

Adhesive
The most common method for advertisers to install acrylic signs is to use adhesive instead of advertising nails. The installation method is chosen based on the properties of the glass adhesive.
Advertising adhesive, nail free adhesive, structural adhesive
The three types of adhesive have strong adhesion and short solidification time, so generally, you only need to stick some double-sided adhesive randomly, then apply these adhesive and press them onto the wall. If the double-sided adhesive is thick, you can also use cloth based adhesive tape. Although these three types of glue are simple and fast, they can be quite troublesome to remove later on. If they stick to the wall, the wall skin will basically peel off, so they are generally not recommended for use.
Glass adhesive
The solidification of glass adhesive takes a long time, usually it will not dry until today or tomorrow. Therefore, if glass adhesive is used for bonding, it is also a temporary auxiliary fixing material, such as cloth based tape, double-sided tape, hot melt adhesive, etc

Screw Fixation
The screws used for acrylic signage are usually mirror nails, similar to the steps of installing advertising nails. First, mark the dots, then drill holes, then attach the expansion sleeve, and then attach the screws. After the screws are fastened, cover the mirror nail cap.
The above are several installation methods for acrylic signage, which are relatively simple to install. If you are not a professional, try to find professional construction personnel to install it, otherwise it is easy to stick it crooked.
Scope Of Use Of Acrylic Signage
- Indoor Signage: A signage system used in indoor environments such as houses, shopping malls, hotels, etc., such as signage, door signs, floor signs, room number signs, etc.
- Business Sign: Used for image display, marketing promotions, commercial activities, etc., such as store signs, billboards, display cabinets, product display boards, etc.
- Industrial Sign: Used for industrial production management, product identification, labor protection identification, and other occasions, such as production line signage, industrial safety sign, labor protection sign, etc.
- Public Signage: Used for public place signage, traffic signs, venue signage, etc., such as road signs, public facility signage, sports venue signage, etc.
- Decorative Art: Acrylic signage, due to its rich colors, delicate appearance, easy shaping, heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and other advantages, can be combined with other decorative materials to create charming decorative art techniques.

In summary, we should recognize that the application scope of acrylic signs is quite extensive, and it is necessary to strictly follow standardized procedures during the installation process. Through proper installation and use, acrylic signage can fully utilize its functions such as identification, beautification, and promotion, meeting the needs of various types of places and environments, and achieving good application effects.
